Epiphany’s Summer Musical

Meredith Willson’s
THE MUSIC MAN
Directed by Jackie Randall
Book, Music and Lyrics by Meredith Willson
Story by Meredith Willson and Franklin Lacey
PERFORMANCES: July 14-24, 2022
at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 6430 Far Hills Avenue
Join us for our 31st summer musical as fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band that he vows to organize – despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall. Meredith Willson’s six-time, Tony Award-winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957 and is a family-friendly story to be shared with every generation.
Tickets go on sale mid-June!

Drama Ministry Spotlight
2021 Summer Musical: BRIGHT STAR
Become a Patron of the Arts
2021 was a special year for the drama ministry – we celebrated 30 years and 30 summer musicals. Will you celebrate with us by making a gift to support the next 30 years?
Want to learn more about the drama ministry? Email drama@epiphanydayton.org.
Epiphany continues its 30-year history of inter-generational church fellowship, family sharing, community outreach, and individual growth. Over half the actors and families involved are drawn from outside the Epiphany family, providing this ministry a unique opportunity to carry out its mission. The summer musical is self-funded and requires no monetary support from the church. In addition, we support a charitable organization each summer. Combining a free-will offering from the patrons plus a commitment from Epiphany Players, the team annually donates over $2000 to the selected group.
