Lenten Wednesdays,

February 14 – March 20

6 PM – SOUP SUPPER | 6:45 PM HOLDEN EVENING PRAYER | DISCUSSION

FAR HILLS CELEBRATION CENTER

Join us for Soup, Singing, and Saints on Wednesday evenings from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Far Hills Celebration Center this Lent! Each week will begin with a simple soup supper, followed by Holden Evening Prayer, a beloved sung version of the monastic prayers to close the day.

The theme for each week is built around the commemoration of saints in the Lutheran calendar, which lifts up people who have lived exemplary lives of Christian faith. In addition, each week a different parishioner will share about a ‘saint’ in their life, someone who inspired their faith and exemplified the theme of the week. Participants will have a chance to share about people who show forth the spiritual qualities lifted up each week. All activities for Soup, Singing, and Saints will be held in the Celebration Center at Far Hills.

We greatly appreciate people who will bring a large batch of soup to share! We also need large mac & cheese dishes and people to help setup and host each soup supper. If not bringing soup or mac & cheese, please bring a salad, bread, side dish, or dessert to share.

It is environmentally friendly and cost-effective for the church to bring your own soup bowl and spoon, but Styrofoam bowls and plastic utensils will be provided if you prefer not to bring your own.

Signups for soup suppers are online.
