Join us for soup supper, stories about Jesus and meals, and Holy Communion, each Wednesday in March, from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Far Hills Celebration Center.
Each session begins with a soup supper, explores a Jesus story with a meditation from Pastor Julie and small group discussion, and ends with an informal eucharist where participants of all ages pass the communion elements around the table. Pick up the resource Meeting Jesus at the Table by Cynthia M. Campbell and Christine Coy Fohr online for a deeper dive into the material, or simply come and enjoy. A limited number of copies are also available at the church office for those who do not have internet access.
Bring a soup, salad, bread, or dessert to share as you are able; sign-ups are online and in the Narthex just outside the worship space at Far Hills. Programming is inclusive of children of all ages; toys, kid-friendly activities, and songs will help make the themes accessible for all.

Congregation-Wide Service Project: Pantry Care Packages
Each week during Lent, we will collect different personal care and cleaning items. On March 29, we will adjust our time slightly, so that we can assemble care packages for our pantry families. Case workers’ clients are grateful to receive such things as shampoo, deodorant, and toilet paper, because these supplies cannot be purchased with food assistance cards.
You can actually donate any of these items at any time, and monetary donations are accepted online or by check with “Lent Project” in the check memo. Monetary donations will be used to purchase additional items not on the list and to even out the items for assembling the care packages. If you’re considering making a financial donation, each care package costs about $25.
